OLD RAILROAD MAN DIES IN ABERDEEN

Aberdeen, July 19 - Mr. A.S. Lewter age seventy-one, passed away here

this morning. He was one of the old time railroad men. He had been agent

in Durham, Salisbury, Raleigh, and here. His last railroad work was for the

Seaboard at Wilmington.

He was one of the old type of railroad men. He served under the late

Colonel Andrews when he was agent at Salisbury under the old Richmond

and Danville. There was only one local freight each way a day.

He is survived by a wife, one son of Columbia, SC and daughter Mrs. Childeey

of Richmond, Va. The burial will be at Durham twelve o'clock Friday.
