Kinchen Lewter Estate Settlement, 1876. James W. Lewter testified that he

was 44 years old, and that Kinchen was his uncle. He stated that he was

reared near Kinchen's land, and in fact lived within 2 miles of it all but

12 years of his life. He said for the past 2 years he lived on an adjoining

farm.

In 1892 the Church Directory reads
