A-4-68 Jessie T. Lewter, daughter of Kinchen D. Lewter and Margaret Mae Cave, was born in 1869 in Giles County, Tennessee. She died about 1937 in Vaden, Clark County, Arkansas. She was buried in Davis Cemetery, Clark County, Arkansas. She married  Walter Pendleton Vaden. He was born in 1836 in Tennessee. He died in 1898 in Clark County, Arkansas. He served in the military in as a 1st. Lt.  with Co. H 12 Arkansas Infantry. He was buried in Davis Cemetery, Clark County, Arkansas.

 

Walter Pendleton Vaden and Jessie T. Lewter were married before 1893 in Clarke County, Arkansas. They had the following children:

 

A-5-145 Walter Roy Vaden was born on 05 Jul 1893. He died in May 1979.

 

A-5-146  Minnie Vaden.

 

 

A-4-68 Jessie T. Lewter  also married Frank A. Brewer. He was born in 1868.

 

Frank A. Brewer and Jessie T. Lewter had no children

The vaden line that you are referring to lived next door to my grandparents. I am descended from Richard Hunter and Eva Lillian Leuter - Jessie's sister. Eva and Jessie were sister's and both married men about 30 years older. Eva married a Jessie Owens and then married Richard Hunter who is a big character who fits into this story really well. He would disappear for long periods of time without

telling anyone. He also was known as Joseph Rand and fought in the civil war as Joseph Rand. We really do not know who he really was. Jessie Carl Hunter their son is my great grandfather. I had communicated with line of Jessie Owens for a while. She seemed to be interesting her in her right. I think there were tensions between Owens and Hunter half siblings.
