She died on 10 Jul 1904 in Arkansas. She was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Little Rock, Hot Spring County, Ark..

 

James M. Lewter and Rebecca Pearlee Self were married on 20 Nov 1880 in Clark County, Ark.. They had the following children:

 

A-5-30 Ada Lewter.

 

A-5-31 Mary Ida Lewter was born on 06 Oct 1882 in Ark.. She married Robert Lee Johnson on 20 Jun 1897 in Lono, Hot Springs County, Ark.. She died on 28 Aug 1973 in Benton, Ark.. She was buried in Delamar Cemetery, Manning, Arkansas.

Collection of Obituaries from Southern Standard Newspaper, Arkadelphia, AR,

April 16, 1887.

"As we go to press this (Friday) Jas. M. Lewter, well known in this

community, was drowned about 1:00 o'clock while seining in Half Moon lake

five miles north of town. Quite a number of his neighbors were present and

taking part in the seining when the accident occurred. At the writing the body had not been recovered and full particulars are unobtainable."

The body of Mr. James M. Lewter, who was drowned while seining last Friday

was recovered and on Saturday interred in Unity Cemetery.

 

He is not listed in the inventory of the Unity Cemetery, so must be unmarked
