"Miss Edna Eaves presented a one-hundred dollar bill, Confederate currency

to Mrs. E. Yochim, the First Vice President General of the National Society

Daughters of the American Revolution during the Alabama State Conference.

This gift will be added to the National Society's Collection of American

paper money.

This one-hundred dollar bill, Confederate currency(1862) belonged to Andrew

Warren Stroud(b. June 10,1821, in S.C.) son of Joshua Stroud.

He married Sarah Rhodes (b. June 20,1820 in N.C.) They bought a farm in

Lirnestone County, Alabama near Wooley Springs Community, and reared their

family.

One daughter, Mary Jane Stroud (b. December 10,1853) married George

Whitfield Drake (b. November 9,1847.)

Their only child was Rosa Virginia Drake (b. February 17,1877) who married

George William Eaves(b. July 14,1873).

Their daughter is Edna Brown Eaves(b. August 23,1908.)

The bill belonged to Edna Eaves great grandfather. "
